Moksha Festival: A Celebration of Music, Art, & Community
The inaugural Moksha Festival was a breathtaking celebration of Indian Classical music and cultural unity, held at the stunning Rose Theatre in Brampton on October 4th, 2024.
Drawing a buzzing audience of 650 people, the event featured extraordinary performances by globally acclaimed artists, alongside vibrant lobby showcases of local talent, a stunning art gallery of Canadian artists, and a lively vendor market highlighting diverse local businesses.
More than a festival, Moksha was a heartfelt tribute to the late Mohan Singh Dahaley, a beloved teacher and community figure, whose legacy of togetherness and inspiration infused the event.
This remarkable debut not only honored the timeless beauty of Indian Classical music but also celebrated the rich tapestry of Brampton's artistic and cultural spirit, setting the stage for a yearly celebration sure to become a beloved tradition in the City’s future.
Bhaitak Series
Since launching in 2023, Third Space has been privileged to host many exciting events in a series we call “Third Space Bhaitaks.” Season 1 concluded in 2024, where we featured 10 incredible bhaitaks (informal, community style sitting programs) ranging from incredible maestros from around the world, local artists, community events and jam sessions, and our super popular “Open Riyaaz” (open mic style) events.
